Our Total Defense classes, our Ultimate Body Shaping Course and our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes all help a student improve their fitness, their confidence, and their self-defense skills. But 5% of our students want more, specifically they want to be able to compete in a variety of martial art competitions.
The Oregon Judo-Jiu-Jitsu team (Team OJJ) is compromised of competitors in Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). This Team has been very successful on a regional, national and an international level.
Currently Team OJJ proudly holds one amateur and three professional world titles in MMA. We are constantly bringing along new prospective fighters and currently have twenty five amateur fighters in our ranks. Each fighters trains hard to become proficient in the areas of Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai so each can become well rounded.
Team OJJ prides itself on its high standards of integrity and class. As we see the increasing popularity of MMA, we understand our roles as ambassadors of the sport and of our team. This role is not taken lightly especially since we want MMA to be respected as a valid sport.
OJJ fighters are some of the smartest, hardest working and best trained athletes/fighters in the world, we must be if we are to excel in this arena.
